Jen does not remember a time before she started singing. From a young age, it was among her favorite activities. She sang in choirs, took piano lessons, and even attempted writing her own music. In the sixth grade, she joined a touring choir. She taught her favorite songs to her best friend, and they would spend recess walking around the soccer field, singing in harmony.
Of course, one must grow up, and playground games must make way for real jobs. Jen studied Biology and her working life overshadowed her artistic life.

After schooling and a career working in a variety of scientific venues including high technology ceramics, analytical chemistry and zookeeping, she realized something was missing. It hit her like a ton of bricks. She was not expressing herself musically.
So she ran away to join the circus as a performing songwriter.
Everyone is better off for it.
She has competed in some contests and performed in some great listening rooms across the US and in Europe. Some highlights include being a two-time finalist in the Susanne Milsaps Performing Songwriter Competition in Utah, and winning the Tucson Folk Festival Songwriter Competition in 2015.
Jen values the travel experience, and is often seen running off somewhere interesting. Her travels have taken her across the Americas, Europe and Southeast Asia.
Occasionally, she dabbles in art, mostly one-color linocut designs. You can see her work at Hajj Pajj Studios.
