I updated my website, but lost all of my blog posts from the past. Perhaps that is a good thing. It gives me a chance to reinvent my history, no?
The past is nice, but the future is more interesting. We don't know what it is going to be. And we have no control over what it will be, really, though we have hopes for it to be good. Better than the past. All we can really affect is now, because we do have immediate control over it, assuming we have freedom and agency, opportunity. Right now, I am content...well, irritated because I have to figure out how to import blog posts into a system that does not do that. But for the most part, content. Because the old blogs don't really matter anymore. My belly is full of yummy pasta I had for dinner, my dog is curled up beside me, the woods outside are quiet and dark. Responsibility is not beating down my door. I have time to blog. All is well. |
